Trying to request Time Off for upcoming schedule week.

I am trying to request off on a Friday, but our schedule week ends on a Thursday. When I click on the Friday the dot is red and automatically shows the Thursday's date when I go back to the form. Are we unable to request off before the schedule week starts? Or is this a technical; issue?
